Do you want to know ONE way to build a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged and supported to take risks, explore possibilities, and where a social, cooperative learning community is created and nurtured? Then this is the course you should be taking!
Thank you for embarking on this journey. Through this course, teachers will learn why integrating art in education pushes creativity and what are the ways to integrate art in education.
This course consists of 5 sections:
- Section 1: Feel: In this section, you will reflect on your current beliefs (and practices) about integrating art within your own teaching. You will zoom out to consider how schools impact creativity and what that leads to.
- Section 2: Imagine: In this section, you will examine what arts integration is. You will also reflect on the need to integrate art in your own classrooms and how arts integration could benefit your students.
- Section 3: Do: In this section, you will explore ways, tips and strategies to integrate art within your own classroom on a regular basis.
- Section 4: Share: In this section, you will think of ways to share your reflections and learning about the what, why and how of integrating art in education with your colleagues.
- Section 5: Assessment: In this section you will take a test to check your understanding of integrating art in education.
