This course is the second in a series of three courses on how to teach writing English. In this course, we will spend time understanding how writing lessons differ depending on the writing stage they are intended for and learn how to create lesson visions for different writing lessons.
Thank you for embarking on this journey. This course falls under the category Subject Instruction. This course has 5 sections. It is meant for teachers who want to learn how they can prepare to deliver effective English Writing lessons for their students. In addition to the Reading Fluency and Reading Comprehension set of courses, the Writing courses on Firki prepare a teacher to be an effective literacy instructor in the classroom. This course will teach you to create a writing course vision which serves as a bedrock upon which an excellent writing lesson plan is built.
This course meets the following standards:
a. T1.1.1a: Shows knowledge of content and procedures of the chosen subject.
b. T1.1.3a: Shows knowledge of common developments related to the subject, which are beyond the text book.
c. T1.4.1a: Shows knowledge of the purpose of content in the chosen subject and the competencies and thinking skills that this content develops.
d. T2.1.1a: Shows understanding of and ability to apply content-specific pedagogical methods and subject-specific pedagogical resources.
