In Aion 2, your weapon is the single biggest factor in dealing massive damage and clearing tougher dungeons or raids. If you want to hit hard and climb the DPS charts, it’s not just about getting a high-level weapon—it’s about upgrading it smartly and optimizing stats. Here’s how to do it like an experienced player.
1. Enchanting (Enhancement) – Your First Step
Enhancement is the foundation of weapon upgrades. Using Enhancement Stones and Kinah, you can increase your weapon’s base power:
- Safe Breakpoint: Upgrade to +10 first. At this level, your weapon gains solid damage without the risk of failure.
- High Risk, High Reward: Going beyond +10 toward +15 gives bigger stats but comes with failure chances. Only push past +10 when you have backup materials or fail-safes.
Tip: Enhance your weapon first before touching armor. The weapon gives the largest damage spike.
2. Exceed – Late-Game Power Boost
Once your weapon is heavily enhanced, the Exceed system lets you push base stats even higher:
- Goal: Reach Exceed +5 to stay competitive in endgame PvE and PvP.
- This system scales well with high-level content, keeping your DPS relevant against tough bosses or enemy players.
3. Substance Morph – Upgrade Rarity
Higher-rarity weapons naturally hit harder. Use Substance Morph to upgrade lower-tier gear:
- Morph green gear (+10) → blue → unique → heroic.
- Each morph not only increases base stats but also adds Combat Power (CP), making your character stronger overall.
4. Manastones – Fine-Tune Your Damage
Once your weapon is enhanced, slotting Superior Manastones boosts damage further:
- Focus Stats: Look for Weapon Damage Boost, Combat Speed, and Crit Damage.
- A 10-point roll in Damage Boost typically adds ~1% total damage—small individually, but huge stacked across all gear.
5. Daevanion Boards – Passive Stat Gains
Your Daevanion Board lets you unlock passive bonuses:
- Prioritize: Nodes that grant raw damage or green nodes that enhance passive damage skills.
- Plan your nodes to complement your weapon stats for maximum DPS synergy.
6. Strategic Gear Progression
Upgrading smartly saves resources and maximizes overall power:
- PvE vs. PvP: Use PvE-specific gear for dungeons—these often have superior % PvE damage boosts.
- Incremental Upgrades: Raise all gear a little at a time (+1 → +2 → +3), rather than dumping everything into one item. This gives better overall CP growth.
- Material Farming: Extract old gear for Enhance Points, and run Sealed Dungeons to farm Enchantment Stones and Daevanion points.
Quick Recap
- Enhance your weapon to +10 before riskier upgrades.
- Push high-end weapons through Exceed +5.
- Morph lower-tier weapons to Unique/Heroic rarity.
- Slot Manastones for Damage Boost, Crit Damage, and Combat Speed.
- Unlock Daevanion Board nodes that increase raw damage.
- Upgrade gear incrementally and farm materials efficiently.
By combining vertical boosts (Enhancement, Exceed, Morph) with horizontal stat optimization (Manastones, Daevanion Boards), your weapon will hit harder than most players’—letting you dominate dungeons, raids, and PvP battles in Aion 2.
