Okay this is getting embarrassing every time someone new gets in my car. I have a 2017 Autobiography and for the past few weeks whenever I turn on the AC after the car has been sitting overnight or for a few hours, this really sharp vinegar like smell comes blasting out for about a minute then fades away. I already changed the cabin filter myself and sprayed some of that disinfectant foam into the vents but the smell keeps coming back. Read somewhere that it could be mold growing in the evaporator case because of moisture not draining properly, which honestly makes sense since I've noticed a small puddle under the car sometimes but not always. A buddy told me the AC system on these Range Rovers is pretty complex and most regular garages will just spray perfume in there and call it a day without fixing the root issue. He said I need to find a proper place that deals with these cars specifically and mentioned something about a skilled Range Rover AC workshop Sharjah that actually opens up the whole system to clean and treat it properly. Before I go taking appointments anywhere, has anyone here successfully gotten rid of this vinegar smell for good on their L405? What actually fixed it and how much did the proper cleaning run you? Really tired of apologizing to passengers every single morning.
