So I've got a 2016 Forester XT and lately I've been noticing that if I leave it parked for more than a day, the battery gets really weak. I've taken it to a couple of places and they tested the alternator which came back fine, and the battery itself is only about 18 months old so I'm thinking there's some kind of parasitic drain happening but I have no idea where to even start looking. I've got a dashcam hardwired in but I've had that for years with no issues so I'm not convinced that's the problem. Honestly I just want someone who knows Subarus specifically to have a look because I've heard these can have weird electrical quirks that generic mechanics might miss. I'm thinking maybe it's time to just get a fresh start with a proper subaru forester battery service where they actually check the whole system and not just swap out the battery and call it a day. Anyone in Dubai know a shop that really understands the electrical systems on these? I'm in Al Barsha but happy to drive to someone who actually knows what they're doing. Really don't want to get stuck somewhere with a dead car again.
