There are different ways to evaluate what students have learnt. The use of rubrics provides with one such way. Assessing student work and growth is made more comprehensive by use of rubrics. A rubric can help in assessing qualitative progress in student work. While traditional grading highlights achievement, using rubrics highlights progress.

This course explores use of rubrics for grading.

It consists of 5 sections.

Section 1-In this section, we will explore the purpose and uses of rubrics. We will reflect on our teaching practices and where rubrics fit into them.

Section 2- Here, we will explore what rubrics are and what it is like to use them in a classroom.

Section 3- In this section, we will create a rubric with guidance.

Section 4-Here, we will explore different ways to share our learning and best practices with our peers.

Section 5-We will check what we have learnt through this course by answering a set of questions.
