Be The Change Projects (BTCPs) are projects done by every graduating Fellow that address barriers to our holistic student vision. While BTCPs nurture social entrepreneurship, test your personal theory of change (PTOC), transfer the skills you're learning in the classroom and more, the primary purpose of BTCPs is to expand your understanding of the education system.
To successfully complete your BTCP, you will go through the design thinking process of understanding a problem, designing a solution, prototyping, implementing your solution, and iterating periodically towards specific goals for a period of at least 3 months. This course consists of two modules to help you along the way.
In the first module, the focus is to help you see your classroom as a microcosm of the larger education system and diagnose some of the factors within & beyond the classroom that affect the life outcomes of our students. We recommend that you complete this module one section at a time.
This second module is aimed at helping you design meaningful interventions that can alleviate the effect of barriers that you have identified. If you already have an evidence-based problem statement that's well-defined, you may skip the first module and directly do this one.
